Structural Engineer

The Position

  1. Assist in the direction, coordination, planning, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects
  2. Develop gravity and lateral structural loads
  3. Perform analysis and design of structural systems for various types of buildings and materials including steel, reinforced concrete, wood, aluminum, and masonry
  4. Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including architects and other engineering disciplines
  5. Clearly and openly communicate with clients to understand projects and deliverables
  6. Respond to construction questions and review shop drawings
  7. Visit construction sites

Structural Engineer Applicant Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on structural engineering
  • Strong academic record
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Commitment to the success of the team
  • Willingness to exchange knowledge and information
  • Self-motivated and willing to ask questions
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized
  • Client-focused, solution-driven and service-oriented
  • Eagerness and passion to grow as a structural engineer
